چکیده

Babesiosis is endemic in Pakistan and one of the most important bovine diseases that cause huge economic losses high mortality young animals. A hematobiochemical study was conducted to unveil difference between diseased healthy animals specific districts i.e., Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh Jhang Punjab, Pakistan. The total number blood samples collected were 518 which include 158 buffaloes 360 cattle. are then analyzed with help PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) targeting apocytochrome b-genes (CYTb) followed by analysis. analysis data done Chi-square test. tests summer suggests 53 out 180 (29.4%) cows 19 79 (24.05%) prone babesiosis. On other hand, winter results showed 12.7 (23/180), 13.92 % (11/79) positive for Babesia genus through c-PCR. further investigated hematological biochemical revealed that, mean value parameters like RBCs, Hb, PCV, MCV MCHC significantly (P< 0.05) decreased infected (cows buffaloes) as compared non-infected ones. While ALT, AST, Cholesterol LDH increased These findings novel molecular evidence B. bovis dairy herds Punjab province,

A study on the determination of risk factors associated with babesiosis and prevalence of Babesia sp., by PCR amplification, in small ruminants from Southern Punjab (Pakistan)

Babesiosis is a parasitic infection due to the multiplication of tick borne parasite, Babesia sp., in erythrocytes of host, which includes a wide variety of vertebrates including small ruminants causing decreased livestock output and hence economic losses. The objective of the present study was to establish a PCR based method for the detection of Babesia sp. in small ruminant population in Sout...

Investigation of hematological and biochemical parameters in small ruminants naturally infected with Babesia ovis

Babesia ovis plays an important role in causing anemia and kidney dysfunction in affected animals. There are few extensive studies about hematological and biochemical findings of small ruminants' babesiosis caused by B. ovis. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of babesiosis on some hematological and biochemical parameters in infected small ruminants with B. ovis. A total of 280 sh...

Molecular Detection of Anaplasma bovis in Cattle from Central Part of Iran

Anaplasma bovis is a leukocytotropic agent of bovine anaplasmosis and there is no available information about molecular study on this agent in cattle of Iran. In this study a total 150 cattle blood samples were collected from central part of Iran. The presence of A. bovis examined using light microscopic detection and species-specific nested polymerase chain reaction (nested-PCR) based on 16S r...
